Northen Illinois Disposal provides City of Rochelle residents with a 95-gallon waste container, designed to accommodate households with higher waste needs.
Additional 95-gallon containers are available for rent at $36 per year plus a $25 delivery fee or can be purchased for $75 with an additional $25 delivery fee.
Recycling Service in Rochelle
Residents of the City of Rochelle may participate in the recycling program with every-other-week pickup. Recycling must be placed loose in the container—plastic bags are not allowed, and cardboard should be broken down into 3 ft. x 3 ft. bundles if excessive. Personal totes under 35 gallons and 50 pounds are permitted.
Residents may also purchase a 32 or 65-gallon recycling container for $75, plus a $25 delivery fee, or rent a 65-gallon container for $36 per year, with a $30 delivery fee.
Yard Waste Collection in Rochelle
Yard waste collection is available from March 15 through December 15 and is limited to 5 bags or bundles per pickup, each weighing no more than 50 pounds or holding more than 35 gallons.
Acceptable yard waste includes leaves, grass clippings, weeds, and small twigs. Yard waste must be placed at the curb (no alley pickup) in bags, cans, or bundles. Please ensure all materials are properly prepared for collection. Contact us with any questions about acceptable yard waste items.
Bulky Item Collection in Rochelle
Residents may place one bulk item (under 50 pounds) at the curb each week for free collection on their regular pickup day. Additional bulk items are subject to a $25 fee per item. Bulk items exceeding 50 pounds will require an additional fee. Contact us to schedule a collection.
Bulk items include: boxes, barrels, crates, furniture, and similar items that do not fit into a proper container and can be collected/lifted by one driver without assistance. Exceptions include items which are banned from direct disposal into a landfill (appliances, tires, car batteries, TV’s, electronic waste). No construction waste accepted.
