Residential Garbage Collection in Paw Paw
Northern Illinois Disposal provides Village of Paw Paw residents with a 95-gallon waste container, ideal for managing weekly household trash. Collection occurs every Friday.
Residents may also rent an additional 95-gallon container for $36 per year, plus a $30 delivery fee. Replacement or additional totes are available for a fee.
Recycling Service in Paw Paw
Residents of the Village of Paw Paw may participate in the recycling program with every-other-week pickup. Recycling must be placed loose in the container—plastic bags are not allowed, and cardboard should be broken down into 3 ft. x 3 ft. bundles if excessive.
A 65-gallon recycling container is provided to support proper recycling practices.
Yard Waste Collection in Paw Paw
Yard waste collection is available from April through November and is limited to 5 bags or bundles per pickup, each weighing no more than 50 pounds. Yard waste must be placed at the curb (no alley pickup) in bags or cans that are clearly marked with an "X" and are 35 gallons or smaller.
Acceptable materials include leaves, grass clippings, weeds, and small twigs. Please ensure all items are properly prepared for collection. Contact us with any questions about acceptable yard waste items.
Bulky Item Collection in Paw Paw
Two bulky items will be collected on your regularly scheduled collection day at no charge. Additional bulk items are subject to a $25 fee per item. Bulky items exceeding 50 pounds will require an additional fee. Contact us to schedule a collection.
Bulk items include: boxes, barrels, crates, furniture, and similar items that do not fit into a proper container and can be collected/lifted by one driver without assistance. Exceptions include items which are banned from direct disposal into a landfill (appliances, tires, car batteries, TV’s, electronic waste). No construction waste accepted.
Contact us to schedule a pick up in advance. Items should not be placed at the curb until the evening before the confirmed scheduled collection.
