Residential Garbage Collection in Mt. Morris
Northern Illinois Disposal provides Village of Mt. Morris residents with a 95-gallon waste container, ideal for managing weekly household trash. Collection occurs every Wednesday.
Residents may also rent an additional 95-gallon container for $36 per year, plus a $36 delivery fee - 1st year billed upfront.
Recycling Service in Mt. Morris
Recycling service is also available to residents, with a 65-gallon container provided. Pickup occurs every Wednesday. All recyclables must be placed loose in the container—plastic bags are not allowed, and cardboard should be broken down into 3 ft. x 3 ft. bundles if excessive.

Yard Waste Collection in Mt. Morris
Yard waste collection is available from April through November and is limited to 5 bags or cans per pickup, each weighing no more than 50 pounds. Cans must be 35 gallons or smaller and clearly marked with an "X". Yard waste should be properly prepared to ensure safe and efficient collection.
Acceptable materials include leaves, grass clippings, weeds, and small twigs. Please ensure all items are properly prepared for collection. Contact us with any questions about acceptable yard waste items.
Bulky Item Collection in Mt. Morris
Two bulky items will be collected on your regularly scheduled collection day at no charge. Bulk items exceeding 50 pounds will require an additional fee. Contact us to schedule a collection.
Bulk items include: boxes, barrels, crates, furniture, and similar items that do not fit into a proper container and can be collected/lifted by one driver without assistance. Exceptions include items which are banned from direct disposal into a landfill (appliances, tires, car batteries, TV’s, electronic waste). No construction waste accepted.
Contact us to schedule a pick up in advance. Items should not be placed at the curb until the evening before the confirmed scheduled collection.
